About

This was a project that I created for my mobile app class at Monash University. My assignment was to create an original app idea and I chose to do a restaurant discovery app.

Problem

There are so many choices in deciding where to eat and through the overwhelming amount of restaurants, it is harder to make these decisions especially with friends.

Too Many Choices

Too many food businesses, can be hard to find new foods and restaurants based on different factors.

Lack of New Discovery

Always end up eating the same meals due to habits and familiarity, never really get to explore.

Indecisiveness

When eating out with friends, can take almost half an hour deciding where to eat which is not a good usage of time.

Solution

The aim of this project is to design an application that makes it fun and interactive for users to discover new restaurants and pick where to eat, with minimal effort.

Search Filters

Provide detailed information on restaurantā€™s ratings, location, address, website, menu and can use these as search filters.

Save Time

Information will be cut down to important parts. There will be a fun and interactive way to decide where to go, with minimal effort

Shared Experiences

Can share experiences with friends and family who have similar tastes.
